We gotta flood the market of podcasts. They can't stop all of us!

As if anyone gives a fuck about the fate of podcasts, unless they're spreading propaganda, which is often spread with the help of these opinion pieces. Google 'Didi Rankovic' and see all of the impressive work this person has done to blame social media companies for censorship(of what? anti-vax propaganda? Stuff like that?). This person is relentless, and obviously well funded. Seems 'Reclaim the Net' is this person's main platform. Notice that this work is part of a broader Russian-funded initiative to spread propaganda. Expect to see more of it. MSM social media platforms are not 'ruined', by any stretch of the imagination. Good to know about this Russian troll, however, as I was unaware of Reclaim the Net until getting to Saidit.

Censorship in any form, including unpopular information is unacceptable. Let people hear what they want and make up their own minds. Despite the detractors, over time it will create a more critical and logic based populace, and raise the general discourse.

I agree. What worries me, however, is the lack of the FCC Fairness Doctrine, which was killed in the 1980s. Since then Fox "News" and others have been able constantly lie, whilst claiming they were telling the truth. The 40 year spread of propaganda is corrupting the US electorate, so that many of them now want to argue over facts, science, vaccines, and other issues that people in other countries would never think of questioning. If Twitter and Facebook can reduce the massive number of propaganda podcasts pushed by right-wing corporations that are intentially misleading, all the better. These are not uncle Joe's propaganda posts. These are highly professional campaigns. Fuck them.

Bitchute seems to be the main one all my podcasts are posting their stuff on in anticipation for youtube removing their channels.

The podfather put this out recently.. https://podcastindex.org/

No surprise he saw this coming many months ago.

Personally ... I can't understand why anyone would use a podcast directory service instead of just web searching "subject of interest" and the word "podcast" and then inserting their rss feed link into my podcast program. It is a lot less work that going through a podcast service like itunes or spotify.

Even if many, if not all star podcasters rely on traditional companies like Spotify for production and promotion

LOL@@!!! WTF???!

Hardly any of the major ones with an independent view point use those kind of weirdo services. How can someone (the author) be so ignorant about something they researched for a report???

I don't even know of any that don't have their own rss feed except for JRE that was paid an incredibly extreme amount to get rid of his.

Not saying it isn't a growing target though... but going after sites like spotify isn't going to really accomplish anything. There aren't that many idiots who don't host their own rss feed.
