when i post to /s/politics, my post shows up. but when i load up in the tor browser without logging in, my post is not there.

saidit is as corrupt as reddit.

i took a screenshot of my internet explorer while logged in with my tor browser beside it, and my post about trump(below the amelia may post) is not present on the tor browser.

nice job saidit, censoring politics.

president trump is making a slight mistake even messing around with twitter. It is so easy to establish a forum that does everything that twitter does or reddit does and he could maintain complete control over it. the open source code of what was the beginnings of reddit is public domain.

if president trump were to establish a similar forum for himself, twitter would have nothing to say about anything he does.

i wish that i were an advisor to president trump.

rule number one: hesitate to negotiate with those that have established themselves as your enemies.

also, it is simple to see that fox tv is not behind mr trump. when they refer to trump supporters as a "mob" that "attacked" the whitehouse, nope, they hate trump.

for some stupid reason, mr trump treats fox like they are friends and allies, i just dont get it.

    do you have access to a "hide/unhide" function? if the hide/unhide function were to be automated either thru some type of automoderator or other automation tool, then you have a shadow ban function.

    technically speaking, from the perspective of a moderator, the hide/unhide function IS A SHADOWBAN. It allows me to see my post as if it posted succcessfully, but it HIDES it from other users.

    i dont really know much about this topic, but i believe that you could create a CHROME EXTENSION that can automate any WEB BROWSER FUNCTION that you have the privilege to do. you can automate the login process or you can automate replying to posts or you can automate AUTO-HIDING of posts, which is effectively a SHADOW BAN.

    It's remove, we can hit remove and there's no notification to you that we did. Hide/unhide just changes visibility for your own individual account, everyone has it.

    Saidit isn't heavy on moderation for regular people, but we get spammed to hell with bots and occasionally trolls. That's why the spam measures are cranked up.

    Yes, we use automod to catch spam. It also got this guy's post. It's not malicious.

    Yes, to be "suspicious" of new accounts, spam comes from a regular stream of new accounts made just to spam us.

    I'm all for changing things if the members want it. I don't think anything here is written in stone. If people want to put up with more spam so we don't ever accidentally remove a valid post that's possible. Bring it up in a post if you want.

        Questions: What is the time between the two screenshots? Did you scroll down to see if your post was simply lower in the list as happens over time?

        SaidIt has an algorithm where new posts automatically get ranked higher, but their "newness" bonus fades over time. Thus, if no one notices and votes on it the post will be lost to time - not to any kind of mild to severe censorship. MUCH is omitted in this way. Our small community has strengths and weaknesses.
