The people in the deep state have done a lot of shaddy things seeking to stop people from doing something against their crimes. I think this is something worth remembering.

The real reason for the war on drugs was to weaken the opposition against Nixon, according to one of his officials.

Drugs that make people realize peace are criminalized by the military-industrial complex that writes most of our laws and owns most of our government. Thus the opposition is removed on a cultural level. It's a sick strategy, and is the main reason we have the largest prison population in world history, both per capita and in raw numbers. It all spiked after Nixon's drug war started.

the war on drugs is all about eradicating the competing cartels in favor of the cia run ones such as the sinaloa, although what you wrote could be another goal of it as well. why not both..
