I always thought it was people who forgot to take their meds ;D

I thought that for a second, then I saw the "tyranny" and anti-government mantra in every comment that had nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Also, those 3 bots you speak of (/u/dcjogger, [place+action#2 (I forgot)], and /u/Unicorn ?) also will often post a link to a 4chan-like site that I guess is theirs. Oddly enough, I tend to agree with most of their comments and posts, even if off-topic or long outdated. The tyranny is real.

There's also /u//templederr, maybe a bot, who posts rough unglamorous celebs in candid moments. Maybe to convince us all that the virus is making people not wear make up or something. Or is just a creepy pervert with banal taste.

Before I got smacked down last year, I created /s/SaidItBots/.

Because bots are inevitable, will only grow in number (especially as SaidIt grows), and increasingly improve "intelligence", I wanted to openly discuss:

  • the bots, their activity, their future, and preemptively prepare SaidIt
  • SaidIt policies (ie. maybe declare all new bots, maybe the old ones too, maybe have bot-friendly or no-bot subs, etc)
  • ways that bots can help us save time
  • ideas for new bots that help (ie. archival bots for videos, images, web scrapes, or meta-tagging bots, etc)
  • ideas for popular bot subs (ie. automatically post popular content like The Corbett Report)
  • voting on which popular bot subs to allow (we don't want to be overrun, or maybe we want to automate as much as possible)
  • how to DIY your own bot
  • how to spot a bot
  • countless other bot-related content

For the record, I don't code unless necessary and am extremely limited to markdown, wikitext, HTML, CSS or animation expressions for 3D animation rigs. Also, besides being innately interested in A.I. and the future of humanity, I'm also writing a screenplay/graphic novel featuring and A.I. set 25-30 years from now.

Tyranny is real, we just disagree who is performing the tyranny. I believe the battle is between Patriots and Communists. Everybody sees it differently. I've been paying attention for a long time now. Longer than most of you have been alive. I've seen all of this unfold for decades. I knew fake news before it was fake news and still people defend them.

Yet you don't see the Hegelian dialectic? All the tribalist conflicts are engineered to fight each other, but only as long as they tack and zigzag towards their ultimate goal. The left and right are wings of the same war hawk party. The capitalists and communists are part of the same globalist group that all share the same Zionist infrastructure and abide by the B.I.S.

[–]Jesus 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Agreed.

[–]RickC-137[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (11 children)

Oh yeh, I see the false left/right paradigm.

Why do you think that they have the left going absolutely batshit crazy in clown world?

They've shown me how crazy clown world is. I used to say I was socially liberal and fiscally conservative, and clown world has shown me that this is impossible. The socially liberal care not how fiscally conservative that I am. They despise me and give no consideration to me or my beliefs and it isn't the other way around. I do want them to live their lives in peace, but they won't do that without me. It's fun to go their every once in a while, but I don't want to live there forever.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

The corporatized hypnotized SJW clowns are to alienate you from the authentic left with authentic social solutions, compassion, and no war. That's all been utterly DESTROYED. Thus the Overton window shifts right to avoid the clown left.

" and clown world has shown me that this is impossible "

it was and is possible. But the clowns have made it presently and likely forever impossible. The establishment is growing and their full spectrum dominance now has no limits under this guise of their Scientism dogma - a blind faith (and blind fear) in corporate private unverifiable "science".

You lost me for the last part.

[–]RickC-137[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

In other words I don't care what they do, but no matter what they are there shoving clown world on me. They just want to take it farther and farther.

Transgender pedophiles in libraries? Indoctrination in schools? Take our money and give it to illegals (Medicare for example)? No laws, no borders, no America...etc etc. Farther and farther into clown world when all I wanted was for them to live their lives and me live mine. Clown world for everybody.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

IMO, no laws and no borders would be much better. Sure there'd be a period of transition, but it'd be better than too many laws. That means no more paying taxes and funding the government and their secret agencies that are repressing the rest of the world. Without that oppression their populations would actually be able to thrive and not need to migrate.

Medicare for "illegals" is MINOR and trivial in comparison to the scams your government is unleashing on its citizens.

I've paid all my life into those systems and somebody comes along and gets it for free?

Sure if they are going to make Mexico another State with constitutional rights, but they don't get shit for free when I didn't and don't, sorry.

Their plan is to dismantle the US, not expand it. Expansion is a bad thing also, look at Rome. It's a bad idea. We have it good here and we should keep it that way.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

" I've paid all my life into those systems and somebody comes along and gets it for free? "

That applies FAR MORE to the ruling class, from the top down to your boss. You work and earn yet have no say and only get a little slave-wage payment - yet "they" and (((they))) get to decide what to do with all the profits.

Why would Mexico get rights when NONE of the US territories NOW do not have any? D.C. to Puerto Rico and the MANY others, overtly as territories like the US Virgin Islands, nebulously like the Philippines, or nefariously like Iraq, Afghanistan, etc etc etc.

They are taxed yet NOT represented. The whole thing is unfair. And you're trained to worry about the unfairness of your fellow man claimed to be a freeloader. Sure they exist, but they may be mostly "useless eaters" but are NOT the major scam here or anywhere. You are trained to punch down. The billionaires tell the millionaires on TV to tell the thousandaires that the poor people are the problem.

Be better. Stay focused on punching at the groin of the ruling class and their rigged systems.

The poor aren't going to "dismantle the US", expand, nor invade other nations. Only the ruling class will do that - and are. And they are determined to make it not good here.

[–]RickC-137[S] 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

I'm not really concerned about fairness. It's unfair to me to let people into a system who have never paid. Who cares about being fair to people that paid, no one? They should start from scratch like I did.

Anyway, I don't understand this whole line of thinking. It's not logical nor straight forward. It's Utopian thinking.

[–]Chipit 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (18 children)

I complained to the admin about unicorn and dcjogger and both of them are still around.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

We don't know what to do, some of the posts are alright

[–]FormosaOolong 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

yeah, they kinda are, even if they're way OT in some instances. I get a kick out of imagining the random OT rants as like the old guys you used to see on the sidewalk with handwritten doomsday sandwich boards and a newspaper hat.

[–]Chipit 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

Any bot posts get an account removed. When they come back with a new account hit that too.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

I think we'd be willing to make that a rule if their was a good consensus. You could make a post about it and try to get some yays and nays.

[–]Chipit 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

There would be people who would not support banning bots? Who would be in favor of endless nonsensical messages posted in every thread?

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I think people want some comment bots, not that we have them, like archive bots and video downloader bots. But as far as post bots, yeah I don't think anyone wants those.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I would!!!

But only under predetermined circumstances - possibly determined by some openly democratic means (TBD), or by permission of the M7D3 admins.

Half the time YouTube doesn't notify you. I don't know why. Facebook doesn't seem to forget anything, yet they soft censor much.

Let's say you would rather just come to SaidIt for your aggregated news, rather than all the regular places sapping your time/energy, etc. Each bot could have it's own sub. ie. /s/Bot_ZeroHedge, /s/Bot_JimmyDore, /s/Bot_BlackPigeonSpeaks, /s/Bot_Electroverse, etc. All of these would have to meet certain criteria to be exist.

If you don't like a source, you unsub and/or mute it. If you don't want to read/watch, don't.

Like newsreaders but interactive, post-bots have the potential to change the reddit-like paradigm in many obvious and not-obvious ways. Or it can be as ignored as the wikis. IMO, the most important part would be HOW the criteria for determining what are acceptable or not. It could easily spin out into chaos the way the subs have, or it can be preemptively dealt with. Maybe I'm a pessimist in believing the bots are inevitable, sooner or later. Maybe not. I don't pretend to have all the answers, or know how to run things or be a great leader, but I think it's worth discussing.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Yep, very valid points, that's why I want everyone's input. Maybe we could still allow post bots, but require that they have bot in the name, like you said.

/u/dcjogger_bot

/u/unicorn_bot

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

And/Or maybe have dedicated subs to contain them:
/s/dcjogger_bot
/s/unicorn_bot

I emailed you some more brainstorming ideas on this too. Feel free to reedit and rework any or all of it to present to SaidIt. If you like I can help do that under the guidance of M7D3 too. When it's up to snuff then you guys can present it to everyone, and maybe build up a little community of interest (ie. /s/SaidItBots ). My posts are hit or miss. I'm in no hurry. In fact I'd rather revisit this in a couple months. My top priorities right now:

  • Covid
  • Bittersweet Seeds
  • multiple CSS themes
  • upcoming WikiSpooks 10 year anniversary + starting WikiSpooks newsletters
  • then other things, like bots, maybe a SaidIt newsletter, store, etc

There are many potentially good uses for bots, and they can do different functions. Not all are bad.

[–]RickC-137[S] 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

I have a feeling that they are linked to the site in some way.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

It's an interesting way to study human interactions with it and build up stronger A.I.

Only recently I've considered adding social forum "training" as part of the backstory of my fictional A.I. in the story I'm writing. Seems obvious now, but would have included it earlier if I'd thought of it sooner.

[–]RickC-137[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

One of my life theories is that we are AI's being cultivated. We get our real body tech after this.

[–]FormosaOolong 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Dude, write a screenplay. This is genius.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Seriously!

I am.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I'm not a fan of this simulation of suffering.

I'm also not into the after life. Why wait? What would our body tech be? Same but different? Or completely different? And why would we need to be cultivated and tested? What are the criteria for advancement?

[–]RickC-137[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

"criteria for advancement". That's exactly it. That's why we are cultivated. Who wants crazy evil AI? You'd want to pick and choose who to bring into reality.

I mean. It actually fits with the dumbed down Biblical version that would have been needed at that point.

Who knows what kind of bodies we'd get, but at that point we have interchangeable bodies that you could switch sort of like new Battlestar Galactica.

[–]JasonCarswellPlatinum Foil Fedora 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Far out man.
