Jewish ZioCOn David Coleman pusher of Commoncore says that he has no credentials for doing this:

Basically, "we need to extract data from your children to profit off of them because I'm a satanist."

This is where, if you're given a math problem, you have an impression and there is no wrong answer, or maybe I'm exaggerating. Hep me.

The idea is to make the lesson so confusing that the intelligent students do much worse than they would if it was taught properly but the unintelligent students do only slightly worse, meaning the races have more similar outcomes.

You summed it up perfectly. That's precisely their aim. They would phrase it as something like, "empowering underachieving students to reach their potential" - except that the other result of it is that everyone gets dumber.

there is no incorrect answer, so everyone passes!

Everybody's a wiener.

Is it really a surprise?

I'd describe the central defining principle of modern education outside of technical areas the idea that one should attempt to destroy 'white privilege' and prevent people from becoming 'fascists'.

holy fuck this was back in 2014. I didn't realize it's been over half a decade of this bullshit. This is terrifying.

While it is clear that the guy is a brainwashed moron, I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. This excerpt could just as easily be interpreted as him saying that his "privilege" was that he was taught to read well and his intention is to create a system that teaches black kids to read well too. If you think this is a ridiculous interpretation you probably don't understand the principle reasoning behind creating the common core.

So let's start by clarifying what and why it is. Before the common core each school was allowed to teach whatever and however they wanted. The result was that there were huge differences in how well kids learned school to school, but they all used the same grading scale. So an A+ student from one school could easily be less educated than an F student from another. Then they head off to college and the A+ student inexplicably flunks out. Or worse they go out into the world literally illiterate. The schools were failing students by giving them good grades instead of teaching them.

The point of the common core was to create a standard bar that each student would have to pass. The way to measure this was with nation wide standard tests. Every student everywhere has to take the same test, the same way, in order to make sure all the schools are actually teaching kids the things that are most important. This way you can no longer graduate an illiterate student; something that was mostly done by schools that were predominantly minority.

I never hear anyone who complains about common core ever say anything that would indicate they actually understand this. Teachers hate it because it measures their effectiveness in teaching and they hate that. They used to be able to get away with not teaching anything and just handing out grades any way they wanted. Now their performance is measured and they hate that. And people just believe the propaganda they spew without a second thought.

I just wanted to be taught how to use my hands, how to do simple math, and how to read complex literature. I spent very little time learning how to do any of that. Since I hadn't been taught how to properly understand multiplication and division, I was severely at a loss to complete highschool. I had to wait until my senior year to get a study hall teacher who actually understood my struggles and helped me pass my classes. Now, I know of dozens of kids who didn't listen in English or History, and they would argue that Common Core is great, and that I was being lazy. These same kids are in college now, the same kids who said "Why do they teach history? it's not like math or science." These are the same kids I may have to work beneath just because they got a degree and I didn't. We should focus on trades, actual interests, and logic, rather than some base-line for all kids everywhere. It's simple. My brain no likey math, but it loves words and tools. I should've had eight years growing up where that's all I had to do. Instead, I wasted years struggling to understand concepts I will never ever ever use. While kids who should've learned their history get to move on to positions of power. I struggle to understand how Common Core brought us here, but I am young. This is the experience of many kids nowadays.

We should focus on trades, actual interests, and logic, rather than some base-line

That does't make sense. It is useless to know when that one guy crossed the Delaware when you can't do the math to figure out how much tax will be added to your food bill. The base line is more important, and most of that other stuff requires it anyway. You can't learn to dance before you learn to walk.

I'm sorry that you struggle with math. That means the schools need to spend more time teaching it to you, not less.

These are the same kids I may have to work beneath just because they got a degree and I didn't.

The last thing we should be doing is handing out degrees to people who can't do math so they can be the boss. If you want that degree you need to put enough work in to earn it. You need to become qualified, even if that means you have to work 100x as hard as the next guy. Participation trophy degrees are destroying this country. Claiming that your knowledge of history is as valuable as STEM subjects is just a coping mechanism. You can't honestly believe that is true.
