I think people have to some extend embraced obscurantism when it comes to politics. Some may not even recognize the corruption in the government at all, while others, accepting it with a cynical fashion won't accept the government might do the worst kind of atrocities, and needless to say that this ignorance that people have is incredibly dangerous for the well-being of the nation.

People can't embrace this obscurantism in a passive way and need to do all they can to protect the institutions of the nation, so they can have people who they can trust in positions of authority.
