It's an interesting topic.

Such bots use the internet to get their info, and are basically just auto-complete on steroids. If the big search engines go all in on AI then it could open the door to real competition from smaller players.

it won't because the quality is too poor. people don't just want relatable interfaces they want accurate results

Most people use Google and those who don’t can be labeled white supremacists.

I'd love to have an interface that actually honours keywords like "AND" "OR" and "NOT", and symbols like + and -. Then I might actually find what I'm looking for instead of having to sort through what the search engine was looking for.

from your lips to God's ears, DDG followed google into not respecting booleans and it is SUPER irritating!

But the elites don't want us to have accurate results. Search engines used to actually be helpful, now you might as well comb the web yourself.

Search results can be invented by a literallywho with a computer, it's not simething "they" can control.

Search engines are already exinct. Unless you want to call their rotting shells search engines.
