A generation of soldiers that thinks fighting a war is calling in airstrikes on peasants.

“Iraq and Afghanistan was totally different. The Russians are a conventional modern army.”

"These blast points, too accurate for Sandpeople. Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise."

That's what you get when you think fighting in a war is as easy as playing call of duty.

Edit - I didn't read the article when I saw this post the first time, just the headline. It states he's an army veteran. Should have read that first. This makes the British army look very weak. I hate to see this happen to a former superpower.

Is it that bad in the lower ranks of the US military?

200 people close to each other in barracks, those guys had zero common sense.

Ig a lot of them genuinely thought they'd be invincible but it's not like that in a real war with no superpower military backing you up

    [–]arainynightinskyrim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I still do not understand what kind of soldiers these guys were, perhaps they were support like the medic guy from the post and have not been in a real firefight in their entire life.

I think the vast majority probably are just adrenaline junkie types that wanted to do it for the experience.

I'm really hoping the JewS takes the bait and joins the battle in Ukraine just to see how they do head to head. The real reason they're not going isn't nukes it's that they're a paper tiger

Basic infantry doesn't really get C 130 support like that. No offense, you don't really know what you're talking about.

I mean modern special forces/unconventional warfare units in Western armies are literally doing call of duty tier fighting look at this footage they're literally in zero danger

A lot of veterans hung out on a FOB for a year. A very small percentage of soldiers saw real combat. Most of the soldiers wearing CABs were not in Combat either. Anyone in the vicinity of a gunshot or explosion would get one.

There's a crisis of medal inflation in the US.

Dont get me started on the bronze star bullshit ive seen.

    [–]casparvoneverecBig tiddy respecter[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I heard that two women got bronze stars for running a printer in the office.

    [–]Blackbrownfreestuff 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (1 child)

I've seen worse. There were sometimes guidelines that stated a soldier had to perform one mission outside the FOB in order to get a bronze star. This creates a hazard because all the officers want their bronze star, so they would intentionally get placed on missions they weren't qualified for, in order to get the medal, sometimes displacing the qualified soldiers that should be on the mission.

Example - Helicopter recovery team. When a helicopter breaks down, you have a team specifically trained on how to rig the helicopter to be lifted out by a Chinook. So instead of sending the entire trained crew who does this all the time, they might replace the team or part of a team with some untrained female lieutenants so they can "earn their bronze star".

Great idea right? Results: Lt. Shaniqua and Lt. TikTokBoobs fuck up the rigging and cause millions of $ in damage to an attack helicopter. And of course, still get a bronze. Mission Accomplished. This is literally how the military of a country with drag queen story hour works.

He’s bombing kids and families for nothing.

            That's a lie.

Strange thing-- always has a deep prejudice against the Russians, first first from growing up on the Cold War, the learning about Soviet atrocities agjabt Germans in the waning months of the war. I have become fairly pro Russian pretty quickly these past few years.

It isn't "for nothing", it's actually worse than being for nothing; it's for the expansion of jewish globalism. If it was random and meaningless I'd be relieved compared to the current state of affairs.

Are you illiterate? You said he's bombing kids for nothing- I countered that it wasn't "for nothing", it was (once again) a calculated anti-White terror campaign.

You are confused. The first sentence is a quote from the article. Your take on Russia's military campaign could not be more ridiculous, regardless..

            [–]YJaewedwqewqClerical Fascist 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I was referring to NATO, but now that you mention it, what I said also applies here (although not just to Russia, to both sides, as the Ukrainians were shelling Russia/Russian civilians prior to the war which in part caused it, and there's reliable evidence pointing to them shelling their own civilians as well)

            [–]Richard_Parker 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Ukraine is not a Nato member. No Nato forces are yet involved. Please site sources showing Russian armed forces are deliberately targeting Ukranian civilians. Simply shelling urban area where enemy inits are holed up does not count.

            [–]YJaewedwqewqClerical Fascist 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Ukraine is not a Nato member. No Nato forces are yet involved

Never implied they were. I was saying that I was referring to UN/NATO actions elsewhere in the world.

Please site sources showing Russian armed forces are deliberately targeting Ukranian civilians. Simply shelling urban area where enemy inits are holed up does not count.

I can't cite any sources to that fact, nor did I claim it in that post. I was, quite clearly might I add, saying that the Ukrainians were the ones shelling their own civilians.

I doubt one could find any reliable evidence outside of a few errant webms of anything for certain, and even a lot of video (ESPECIALLY news footage) has been shown to be outright fake or misleading (as if that is surprising), such as that video of an American or European MSM source in an empty town square leading a herd of actors around to make it look like chaos.

However, there are definitely shills for/from both sides active, so I don't care too much either way, as the end results remain the same.

I ended up on a military forum some time ago, apparently according to those guys who were ex military more than 99% of the kills in afghanisan were made my spec ops.

This means that the vast majority of the US army has not seen a firefight or at best shot a couple of shots at nothing from 1000m.

This guy is just a medic from the UK which probably means that he hasn't been in a proper firefight either.

            [–]casparvoneverecBig tiddy respecter[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Quite likely. Most were counter terror raids and search and destroy missions.
