No need to explain incompetence with a conspiracy. The economic turmoil isn't some elaborate plan, it is simply civilization incompetence caused by a corrupt elite class, overshoot by consuming natural resources unsustainably and a population which is increasingly culturally and genetically third world. If anything, elites are desperately trying to keep the show going.
