40% of US "oil" production isn't even oil

In this fascinating video Art Berman elaborates on the data of supposed US "oil" production. Apparently 40% of it isn't even oil. They're liquid fuels primarily derived from natural gas. So again, 40% of the official numbers on US "oil" production isn't oil. Think about that for a second. This is massaging the numbers to create the illusion that peak oil isn't a reality. By the way, don't forget that these natural gas liquids don't have the same heating content as oil. We're screwed guys. We really are. The elites are going to squeeze the last percentage of phony "growth" out of this rotten system before it crashes. The tragic thing is that nature will be ravaged even more in the process.

The end of the infinite growth paradigm for one. For the last century our economic growth has relied on cheap and easily-extracted oil that was in abundance.
