I can't say why, but today waking up I had four very strong impressions in rapid succession. It's rare that I even get one worthy of writing down. They all happen to be neat concepts, though with no segue or transition between that I recall, much less a logical narrative.
I don't put a lot of stock in dreams, but sometimes they can give you great ideas. Caffeine can make it painfully difficult to sleep but the short dreams can be vivid or lucid or both. Sometimes oversleeping or catching up can give you dynamic dreams. After a week or two of erratic sleep of naps from 30 min to 5 hours as often as necessary, I finally had a long sleep of 10 hours interrupted only by pee breaks.
Grass & Collar
Across from the house where I grew up in my youth I'm on a sidewalk. I can't stray far because I have a mechanical phone collar. I'm trapped by a social credit score system and a punishment system embedded in my phone collar. (Ironically, in real life, I haven't had a phone for almost a decade.) I can see wild grass in a nearby field but I can't get to it because of the collar. Fortunately there's less than a clump, just a few strands of tall healthy seeding grass by the sidewalk and a tree that was missed by the lawnmower that I'm assuming was operated by a droid. In my dreary apartment, in a bowl, I'd already collected some healthy soil a handful at a time, and can now plant the beginnings of my micro field. I just hope it's not GMO.
Double Date
Two couples are in a vintage convertible, like a double date at a drive in in the 50s or 60s, (and this scene unfolds from one vantage as I or the camera is standing on the hood looking down over the windscreen at all 4). All 4 have mind reading head sets on, that are also mind projection sets. (Don't ask me how I know this.) The boy in the front right seat and the girl in the back right seat are sharing their experience. The girl in the front left seat and the boy in the back left seat are sharing their experience. Then the back couple and the front couple lean in for a kiss, while simultaneously experiencing what's in the seat in front or behind them. Not holding back, the back seat couple connect a moment earlier, diving in with tongues. The guy in the front right recoils and rips off his head set and leaps out of the car. I don't know why but I have some guesses. Maybe he doesn't like kissing boys. Maybe he doesn't like whisker burn. Maybe kissing is only for romance. Maybe it was just too much sensation. I just witnessed it. I can't explain it.
Blind Date
In a bar, on two tall stools at a small table, a couple is on a blind date of sorts. It seems to be like a contest, small modest game show, reality show, or prank show. The couple is nearing the end of the show. They've been getting on well - however, each of them has a virtual reality head set covering their eyes and ears. But they've been getting on really well and want to meet the real person. Assistants help them unstrap and remove their VR head gear and the couple is free to turn to see each other. The prank is revealed that they are already a couple, perhaps living together common law, maybe even married. The guy has a little fit and storms off. Again, I don't know why and can only speculate. Was he tired of her and wanting someone else? Was he caught "cheating"? Was she? I just witnessed it. I can't explain it.
Trutherism, The Game
This last one was less clear, in part interrupted by my excitement and making it more lucid, in part by waking up.
The setting was a high tech room that was in bad shape. Maybe it's an old submarine, a crippled space station, or some abandoned lab on Earth or underground - a closed game environment with limited options. An old man and young woman are trying to stop their room from being flooded or figure out a way to escape. Instantly I'm reminded of my /s/Trutherism101 characters. But in this different environment it's apparent they have to solve a problem to survive. Then it comes to me - what if this game scenario were applied with trutherism lessons, where you have to learn how corrupted the matrix of rigged systems are - and then apply the lesson somehow to escape to the next level.
Afterthought, maybe you're trapped, by an evil genius terrorist (like the Saw movies), but over time as you learn about history you realize he's not a terrorist after all, and you never die but you learn the truths of history - that the elites and their state, the corporatocracy, are always the true villainous terrorists.
