Are we underestimating global warming?
submitted 2 months ago by ActuallyNot from vox.com

Short answer: No
Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Also, who the fuck uses Vox as their source?
[–]ActuallyNot[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun - 2 months ago (13 children)
Vox has high factual reporting. They do lean left, but so does reality.
[–]Gravi 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun - 2 months ago (12 children)
Reality does not lean on your side, got a source to back that up?
Oh and factchecking is just pure newspeak bullshit propagated by the left too, don't need a source for that, just need to think straight and not left or right.

She's a brainwashed female who refuses to accept that she's been scammed by the climate change hoax.

What exactly don't you understand about global warming?
That burning fossil fuels had increased CO2, or that CO2 is a greenhouse gas?
[–]Oyveygoyim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun - 2 months ago (4 children)
🤣 just stop
[–]ActuallyNot[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun - 2 months ago (3 children)
Which? That burning fossil fuels had increased CO2, or that CO2 is a greenhouse gas?
Because they're both pretty obvious ... to everyone else.
[–]Oyveygoyim 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun - 2 months ago (2 children)
And neither will have any effect on you or anyone else in your lifetime

Helene alone has killed 200 already.
Warmer sea surface temperatures means storms pick up more power as they travel across them. Warmer air means more moisture can be contained allowing heavier rainfall. Higher sea levels means storm surge reaches higher levels.
Are you pretending that those are what you don't understand? Because they're more straightforward than that increasing greenhouse gasses increases the greenhouse effect.

Helene was going to happen regardless just like all the others before it.
What are you doing to combat climate change? Do you ride a bicycle to work everyday just like the "climate change experts" told you to do while they're flying all over the world in billion dollar jets?
Do you drive a car? If you do then shut the fuck up about climate change.

While our results confirm prior findings that online misinformation sharing is strongly correlated with right-leaning partisanship
You don't believe that facts are objective and verifiable?

Wasn't Harvard the institution that accepted the woman who plagiarized as university president?
[–]ActuallyNot[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun - 2 months ago* (2 children)
Can't say I recall.
You'll notice the paper is written by researchers at The Observatory on Social Media, Indiana University, USA.
Which would be not the university president of Harvard.
And you'll notice the reference to this confirmation of prior findings, meaning that this papers isn't discovering that fact, it has been known from a prior body of research.

What's the relevance of plagiarism committed by the former president of Harvard to this discussion?
What's "ain't reading allat of your bullshit"?

Are we underestimating the impact of temperature readings taken from Heathrow Airport when using them in prediction models? Many scientists agree that using artificially inflated statistical data generates invalid results.

The urban heat island effect is accounted for and corrected in global surface temperature measurements.
Which is why the instrumental temperature record aligns with satellite temperature measurements.

And yet NASA explains that ground temperature readings are more reliable as they are at the direct source of the reading and not several kilometres away. According to NASA the satellites convert the brightness of the atmosphere into estimated temperatures.
https://science.nasa.gov/climate-change/faq/which-measurement-is-more-accurate-taking-earths-surface-temperature-from-the-ground-or-from-space/
The difficulty lies in ground temperature readings being taken from the least reliable locations like at the rear end of a jumbo jet.

Nope, because it's just another jew lie
Earth has been cooling for 4 thousand years https://x.com/iluminatibot/status/1683742720836403203
Climate change is a cult for gullible females like ActuallyNot so they can feel like they are part of something.

And lastly:
Geologist, Professor Ian Plimer:
"No one has ever shown that human emissions of carbon dioxide drive global warming, and if it could be shown, then you would have to show that the 97% of emissions which are natural, do not drive global warming. We are dealing with a fraud

I want the subs that I'm a moderator for to be a community where anyone who shows up might stay and contribute to the discussion. So you're going to need to cut this kind of shit out if you want your comments to stay up. There's plenty of subs here were you can be as racist as you need.
However the warming of the last 100 years is more than that cooling.
It's a field of science that extends into many fields of study, and is actively studied by hundreds of thousands of researchers across every kind of country and type of research institution.
Hundreds of thousands of climate scientists, and 99.9% of them support the consensus. But you've found one who doesn't.
Do you think his jobs with mining companies might be something to do with why he's pushing an incorrect position rather than every other scientist in the world is member of a cult?
