Where should I purchase precious metals? Online? In-store? From those nasty GovCorp officials?

I am seeking silver as a baseline for my savings, but would like to get other metals as well. I also feel as though bullets are good thing to stock up for possible future trades, but I have my own ways of procuring those.

I am in the United States.

I've had good luck with Scottsdale Mint, purchased silver and "prepper gold" 3 separate times online and no problems.

If you are trying to profit with small margins, then you really have to strategically work around shipping. All purchases like this will be insured and have pricey, fancy, shipping required.

There is no desire for "profit" here. Simple insurance.
