I might consider getting a vaccine injection or few if they gave me a lifetime supply of ketamine first.

I'm not a fan of the recreational effects, used to do the K my buddy brought back from Mexico cause we were bored, stupid kids but never enjoyed it. I would like some again to see if it helps with pain though, some people (guesstimate 30-40%) benefit from it.

What's the fun of laying there paralyzed in a k-hole?

the K my buddy brought back from Mexico

The best kind IMO. I got some myself while in El Paso/Juárez. Canadian K is great too. K from India can be good or they can scam you and substitute something similar that smells like soap and just dulls the senses without the dream-visions.

It's like drinking but less sloppy. Like wine, a sip is fine if you like - as is getting smashed into the K-hole for dream-visions and inter-dimensional paradigm shifts. It takes a bit of practice to understand the variations (watch when you eat and/or have sugar) and of course, like any drug, your mind-set (mood) and physical-setting (secure environment and good company) are critical. Going lightly is not for everyone, just as going deep is not for everyone. If you're at a party or dancing then you won't want the K-hole. If you're at home in bed, perhaps with one or few friends, with good music (Shpongle) and good mood lighting then the K-hole visions can be a fun adventure.

I highly recommend getting a snuff bullet or few of different makes and designs to try out since they should not be expensive. They provide a pretty consistent amount every time - so you know what to expect with your powdered drugs. Ironically ketamine is often unpredictable unless you keep track of your food, sugar, time of day, etc.
If you're serious I can explain what critical features to look for in a good snuff bullet.

Ketamine helps with pain and chronic depression. Physical addiction doesn't happen with ketamine - but mental addiction can happen. Chronic use has bad effects on men's bladders. Really chronic use has other problems, male or female.

DO NOT drink with ketamine, no matter how much you might want to. It makes you VERY sloppy and potentially vomitous. I have some tips if you must, but I really don't recommend doing it.

Too much humidity here, it clumps and jams them.

Some people definitely shouldn't drink on it, like Bill Cosby's dates, and you won't know till you try -- which could be fatal -- but nobody definitely should go in shallow bodies of water. What a horrific way to die since you can see everything happening but are powerless to do anything about it.

Shitty snuff bullets suck nasty balls. Better bullets help a lot. They've been in very sweaty pockets, hot tubs, and worse - while on drugs. Yes bullets and their carburetor can clog or lock up too. The consistent measurement is the critical part. If you have other ways to measure it in very small consistent doses, that's good too. Or maybe you have a way to keep them dry? Off hand, I can only think of making it powder (many ways to do this), putting it in small containers ASAP (ie. 1 gram vials), seal them without air in separate zip-log bags. Maybe keep them in your freezer where humidity will freeze, but when you take them out, let them reach room temperature first and while the outside of the bag will condense water, inside the bag without air the vial of powder will remain dry.

Cosby was framed. K is not the rape drug, nor is it dangerous. Don't know how swimming got into it.

You can start your evening on K and then switch to booze. This is okay, but IMO a waste. If you have experience and want to do both for a VERY cheap an effective buzz IF you can balance it, then start on K and take the booze VERY slowly. They combine powerfully. A little K and a beer or two or three maximum should last you all night, where typically I'd drink more than 6 beers -or- keep doing K all night. (Over a decade ago, in SF one gram of K was worth more than gold. Less than half that in Vancouver.) Avoid at all costs starting on booze, even just one beer, and switching to K - worse if you persist with both.

I have been a huge advocate for Cosby, just making a joke.

Not just swimming but hot tubs and baths need to be avoided too, if you fall into a k hole you can drown. I've heard of several people going that way and it seems like a horrific way to die since you're fully aware but you can't move. Can you imagine drowning in a foot of water, knowing it's happening but unable to do anything about it?

That grenade suicide guy (retardedly at arms length) on leakreality would have drowned in that 3 inch puddle if the Russian cop hadn't saved him. "Give me a hand, bro"

Oh shit, hadn't seen that before. link for anyone interested

I thought grenades were more dangerous than that.

I'm not an explosives expert, but I believe there's an exponential decrease in lethality as the distance increases.

If he would have held that beside his head, he would be dead. Instead, he's just far worse off than he was before. "Wow, this sucks! How can I make it ten times worse?"

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (7 children)

I thought the lethal range was 25 to 50m depending on the type, why grenades are sometimes considered a defensive weapon, short of clearing rooms and hidey holes, since you need cover to shield yourself from the effects because you can't throw it farther than it can hurt you.

Reminds me of a failed suicide attempt I met at a party, dude was depressed so he shot himself in the head and fucked up his face, teeth, and mind. I thought if things were bad then, they sure as shit didn't get better.

Not going to watch it.

An underwater grenade is more dangerous to people in the water as it carries the explosive shock MUCH better than air.

I suspected. I'm often verbose because always 80% I'm clarifying for / talking to the silent audience.

This seems like a giant exaggeration - into a huge myth if you've heard this elsewhere. Don't repeat it.

Firstly, as a former lifeguard: Don't swim alone without a buddy, especially if on substances. If you're in a group, even if extreme partying, folks would notice something like that. I've been there, done that. Even in a hot tub in the desert in the back of a school bus (ONLY on the first day, the water gets NASTY thereafter).

Secondly, that's not how K works. Yes, 10% of people are hyper-sensitive. Essentially it's as if 10% of people had 1 bear and it made them pass out. Alcohol lasts for hours. K can last 45 minutes or so. Coked up goons on Wall Street call ketamine the "lunch hour vacation". Regardless, if you feel yourself "loosing it", you'd still have time to "escape" the tub. Swimming is a different story - and you need not be on substances to underestimate your abilities. Reasonable people do it. All. The. Time. I used to save some.

since you're fully aware but you can't move.

This is not accurate at all. Ketamine is a disassociative, and if enough is taken you become tranquilized to sleep and thus immobilized. You don't become immobilized via some kind of paralysis before you loose consciousness.

Ranking of the most dangerous drugs/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/3369928/most_dangerous_drugs.0.png) I've seen other graphs like this, but sideways. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=safety+of+ketamine+compared+to+other+drugs

It comes up occasionally in the reddit drug subs, friends and family dying that way.

That's what it does to me. Regardless, passing out in shallow water or being paralyzed has the same risk of drowning, ala Whitney Houston.

Don't believe everything you read on Reddit. It might happen on extremely rare occasion, but I doubt it's a thing. I would expect more people to walk into traffic or fall down stairs. Swimming on drugs is stupid, but never off the table for humans.

You're the first person I've heard of this happening to. Are you among the 10% that are hyper-sensitive to ketamine? If so, I don't know if it would be the pain relief you seek. Either that or you took way too much and/or you be tripping but not really as aware as you might think you are. Then again my mistress Ketamine, Goddess of Mathematica and Mischief, is ever the prankster, even with unexpected results at times.

If you do try it again, obviously stay away from water, stairs, candles, and traffick, and consider going in super mini-doses, counting the crystal grains. If you know how much is in a snuff bullet bump, then divide that amount in to 8ths to cumulatively try every 10 or 15 minutes until you reach a comfortable threshold. Don't watch a movie (it gets frustrating when you can't follow it), find some nice music, lay on your bed or sofa and meditate - and critically plan to keep doing that. Don't get distracted and think you can go do something else at the same time. Ketamine is not a multitasking sport and you'll only fail, be frustrated, break something - or DIE. I like to watch the patterns on the inside of my eyelids (much better than when you rub your eyes hard) in a waking dream of sorts.

I have unusual effects from drugs. Shrooms don't affect me at all, cocaine is pretty meh, opiates feel more gross than fun. Eating weed is super inefficient, takes 10x a normal person's dose to affect me. I think that's an enzyme issue.

It's not just fun drugs either. My high BP is what my last doctor called "drug resistant." I had to come up with a combo that actually worked. Kinda proud about out doctoring my doctors though. Kinda depressing too.

My birthday is in 3 hours!

I just used to dehydrate the liquid ketamine and snort fat rails. It may also be a volume issue if you've only done bumps from those cocaine bullets.

OK that's pretty funny
