He was laying there looking all handsome in his tux. I couldn't resist. The pic also gets the ripe serranos in the back.

That's a golden barrel cactus, I think. We were given them at a wedding we attended. We had 3 at one point, two died, and this guy Gizmo dug up and it got buried by dead plants when we got hit with a polar vortex. Amazingly, it was still alive when I noticed it several weeks later.

Interestingly, the first few years I had this thing it was really tiny and didn't get bigger at all. They don't need water hardly ever, but if you water them, they grow. Go figure.
