Awesome, I would love a homegrown tomato.

👍They taste much better than most store-bought. I pray you receive some.

Lemon cucumber, zucchini, serrano peppers

And cherry tomatoes? Do you have an orange or yellow variety, or are you picking them early before they turn deep red?

I'm picking them early. The ripe ones go in the fridge, the unripe ones are together on the counter.

Sometimes the birds get my tomatoes (without my permission) and when they are threatening my garden, I will pick tomatoes sooner. What's your reason for picking them early?

Because I don't want to harvest every day, to save effort. And tomatoes are great at ripening off the vine. So picking them when they're orange buys me another 3 days or so.

I'm just winging it. Birds sounds terrible. I'm worried that the raccoons might discover my garden someday. It's a pleasure to be gardening with you.

I understand your reason.

Raccoons can be trouble here, too. They have hands! In previous years squirrels also found my tomatoes, but not this year. One day I walked outside toward the garden and saw a squirrel high up on a tree branch holding one of my tomatoes, eating it! But lately we have had enough tomatoes. We have several now available to eat on the kitchen shelf. So we can afford to let the wildlife have some so I try to not let myself be angry. I wish you continued harvests!

Hopefully I can get to cucumber Armageddon before the season is over. I have 3 plants just starting to produce, but another 6 or so that are just flowering.
