Feedback about interface change: Voting is now hard to discern on some screens

Would love an update to this to provide a lot more contrast so it's easy at a glance to see that you did in fact vote as intended. The button state changes are so subtle now that they are invisible on some monitors, and the tiny gray text indicating that your vote was counted on a comment is also so subtle that it doesn't make up for the disappearance of easy-to-see state changes. Thank you for fixing this. The new look is great, just a lot less usable. And many of us don't have a twenty-year-old's eyes anymore, either.

Can confirm that neither button changes at all for me when I vote. I've started using whether or not the number changes as my indicator for whether a vote went through.

Yeah, and that number is tiny and also hard to see. I'm concerned that this isn't just frustrating but also going to reduce interaction on conversations, because now instead of quickly clicking through and getting on with my day, I have to squint and unclick / reclick, multiple times sometimes, to make sure I actually voted.

Agreed. It's almost troll level UI design.

You want serious contrast with things like button states. This seems like it was probably designed on a very nice HD/retina display and the designer isn't seeing just how non-visible the difference is on regular screens.

They're working on it, they've been upgrading the old blurry icons. It's now film noir looking. Still needs some tweaks.

Yup, now it's film noir. Teeny, tiny subtle color changes aren't exactly better.

Seconded: the upvotes are still pretty difficult to see! It was nice having them change to solid black when you upvoted, provided more of a contrast.
