I watched the remake yesterday for the first time, had quite low expectations for it, since the last remake of "It" was a totally desaster in my eyes with bad cast and bad decisions from changing the plot from the 50s into the 80s to being too drastically put in scene in the wrong places and cropping/changing the original characters uncertainly. However, the remake of "Pet Sematary" surprised me in the end. Since I know the original movie and wasn't a big fan of it either, I expected the remake to be even worse, to be honest. But it wasn't so bad, though they changed a lot - or because they did so. Other than with "It", I never read the book, so I don't know which movie is nearer on the original story writing, I only can say that I was more statisfied with that remake of "Pet Sematary" than I ever was with the original movie. I like how the cat "survives" instead of getting killed(again) by the father and how they changed the boy dying on the road into the girl dying there, because she is older than the boy and can give a verbal impression on how it feels to be undead. In the original movie, the zombie toddler couldn't do that. I also like how they completey spared out showing the toddler dying and how there is that implying in the end for a happy re-united zombie family, with cat. :3
When it came to the scene where there are those stitches on the back of the zombie heads, I wondered if it could have been aliens that brought those dead bodies back to live? It sure gives room for interpretation, I like that.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
