Obviously not all misanthropes are non-morons. Some misanthropes may hate humanity for moronic reasons like "saving the planet" or some other liberal garbage. Non-moronic misanthropes hate people simply because they have the intelligence to recognize how horrible people are these days.

Sociopathic non-morons aren't misanthropes because they like people to exploit them. And that actually makes some sense, but doesn't work for me because I am not a sociopath. All non-sociopathic non-morons are misanthropes because they see modern people as they are, and so can't help hating them.
