Here is the first part of the article:

Chick-fil-A is cutting ties with a pair of organizations that have received opposition from the LGBTQ community.

The fast-food giant will not continue making donations to the Salvation Army or Fellowship of Christian Athletes moving forward, the company confirmed Monday.

"We made multiyear commitments to both organizations, and we fulfilled those obligations in 2018,” a rep for Chick-fil-A said in a statement obtained by the Daily News. "Moving forward you will see that the Chick-fil-A Foundation will support the three specific initiatives of homelessness, hunger and education and will reassess its philanthropic partnerships annually to allow maximum impact. These partners could include faith-based and non-faith-based charities.”

The scarlet letter and social shaming for anyone, even an organization like the salvation army which has helped far more impoverished/hungry/needy people in the last hundred years regardless of race, gender preference, or sexual preference than any other organization i can think of. Perhaps if they could do a children's story hour and dress up In costumes everyone would be better.

All this to sell a few more sandwiches in airports. Yuk.

Or perhaps people ought to lighten up. In this world of suffering and pain we need not search for or exaggerate injustices.

It'll be interesting to see what the public response to this move is. I'm curious as to if their past donations will be a lasting stain in the public eye

Hard to figure. At some point, all this SJW stuff becomes wearing even to me. Apparently it is cool to buy a car from some company that did something awful twenty years ago, but evil to buy lunch at Chick-fil-A. It is hard to keep track.

Why do they care what the LGBTXXXXXXXXX people want?

Because it is wrong to hurt people in an unthinking manner and it is always foolish to hurt customers. They want to sell chicken.

That doesn't answer the question. it "being wrong" is subjective.
