When I went to Japan they had temperature sensors everyone had to walk through and if you had a fever they would flag you aside and make you wear a facemask to protect everyone else.
But making a registry of faces of every person who gets on a commercial airplane is just a bit nuts tbh. Security theater, while someone gets a fat contract.
