Videos show that she had several warnings, that the gun was easy to see through the door, and that she was only a few feet from congresspeople. The security guard deserves a medal of honor.

      Sorry. It was not personal.

What's amusing here is that you have to spend all day around yourself... It's not likely that you 'get it' now, but you will at some point.

      https://www.nbcnews.com/video/capitol-shooting-that-led-to-ashli-babbitt-s-death-captured-on-video-99180613572

There is another video of congresspeople behind the doors preparing to enter the basement, seconds before Babbitt jumped into the door. They were in danger and the the guard's gun was easy to see, while others yelled that the guard had a gun. Moreover, why would one expect not to face armed resistence when invading chambers of the capitol building?

I remember that day, watching alex jones warning people to not go in there, that it was a trap.... Boy did I have to search a few minutes for this one, google being absolute trash wanted to show me article after article trying to blame alex jones for the "insurrection"....

Ill bet you some of these guys that haven't seen the light of a day in a couple months or haven't talked to their family or a attorney, are prolly wishing they had listened to him now.

So yeah, that video is pretty much exactly how I remember it. Couldnt see much of it because of a huge thing on the screen asking me to disable my adblocker.

But I didnt hear no warning, all I heard was some guy dramatically yelling "Hes got a gun hes got a gun.". There are what look like guards standing against the hall next to her, as well as a guy in a expensive looking suit.

It all seemed like they were making a big show and alot of noise for the camera. No one seemed surprised really by the gun that was aimed at her, but they were all shocked when she got blown away.

Then the guy in the suit asks everyone to get back and starts trying to help her, the whole thing felt scripted, except for the part where they murdered a air force veteran.

Imagine if homeowners now have to warn intruders before they defend themselves? Well you have to warn before you defend your home. Good nye castle laws.

Ashli was unarmed and not a violent threat. The officer that shot her is a murderer, just like Derek Chauvin.

      [–]skeeter 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

i was really sad to hear that officer chauvin received as much time as he did.. ya know, that same officer chauvin risks his life each and every day, for real...

PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM A TWICE CONVICTED FELON AND YET I STILL WOULD SHOW MERCY TO THIS OFFICER CHAUVIN

every time that officer chauvin goes on a police call, he risks having somebody blow his guts out with a sawed off shotgun..

and hey, george floyd was a DOPE FIEND LAW BREAKER that had just passed a counterfeit twenty... and he would not exit the vehicle as requested by the police... which is a very dangerous thing for the police because in just a split second GEORGE FLOYD COULD GRAB A GUN AND KILL OFFICER CHAUVIN...

BUT because this dope fiend fuck that is reported to have been high on fentanyl dies while in custody, officer chauvin loses his freedom for decades?

if i was the president, the first thing i would do is sit down in the oval office and PARDON OFFICER CHAUVIN on international television.

The sentiment is good but I would never block anyone here. Blocked people can see you and comment on your stuff, yet you can't see them. That only hurts the blocker with ignorance. I want to be able to call out other people's bullshit.

I have two users blocked, and it looks like one of them is the parent of your comment. Just blocked those two because their comments are so ridiculous that it was tempting to reply.

But I think there's a checkbox in RES I need to go find, so it won't hide all the replies to them too.

        https://saidit.net/prefs/#res:settings/userTagger

That didn't do it. I've unblocked both. Yup, it was socks.

The family may not win a long drawn out law suit but the court fees will run into the tens or hundreds of millions. Best thing the cops can do is settle with the family now. It's just cheaper.

The suit will have the same fate at trump's election day fraud lawsuits. Her lawsuit will be thrown out of court. She was in the middle of committing a violent crime. Her and other criminals broke through a barricade to get inside the capitol building. Cops were assaulted, violent infiltrators were inside the capitol building to do harm to politicians because those violent infiltrators did not like the result of a lawful election. Law enforcement closed and locked doors to protect politicians from a violent mob who already assaulted law enforcement that was trying to stop them from entering the capitol. Babbitt violently broke a window open, she was going through the door to do harm and she was rightfully met with a bullet to her neck. Babbitt was not breaking through that window to tell politicians she loves the work she's doing. Babbitt's actions showed she had something nefarious on her mind. Babbitt being blasted away is justified.

Funny thing, the men with Babbitt were a bunch of pussies who was having a woman break through a window. They were too scared to do it themselves. Once Babbitt broke through and was blasted away, guys were startled and screaming. What was law enforcement supposed to do? Reason with Babbitt? Ask Babbitt to please stop what she's doing and to please not harm anyone after she broke through he window?

        Shalom
