Adulthood has nothing to do with an arbitrary number. My 16 year old is more of an adult than most adults I know.
I know very few grown people who can hold a conversation. I know very few grown people that understand nuance. I know very few grown people that aren't riddled with personality disorders making it hard to be close to them. I know very few grown people who aren't weak and their emotional development stopped somewhere in their teens.
My dad died a 63 year old infant.

Meanwhile in the UK, my generation were living alone, working full time, drinking, smoking, driving and starting a family aged 16-19, living life the moment school was over, and I'm only in my 30's now. WTF is wrong with people today? Era of self-identified retards.
