Guy got caught wearing an unique outfit from some fashion designer after it disappeared from the airport.

The guy is certainly a pervert. His history of teaching dog fetish classes shows that alone. How he got his position can only be described as idiocy in hiring decisions. Maybe they wanted someone who looked like nuclear waste for the position.

My totally uneducated guess is he aims for luggage that appears "feminine".

So like designer brand name bags or pink bags or what have you.

I mean if he's just stealing random ass luggage he's going to have a 50/50 chance of it being girls clothing or not. Almost assuredly he's aiming for "girly bags".

My guess would be fashion designers are more likely to have fashionable luggage. Beyond that it's luck of the draw. The mental image of this guy upset at stealing a pink ass bag only to have it be filled with men's business attire is making me jovial though. I've sometimes used a pink bag before in order for it to stand out so it's easier to spot in the luggage carousel, and hoping some thief might avoid it because it makes them look gay, clearly I'll have to rethink my strategy.

      Some of it is an obvious fetish masquerading as a social identity movement. Some of it is just run of the mill mental illness. I think one of the current problems we have is the mainstream social awareness of it lumps it all together into one thing.

      Currently there's a load of people who don't fit either of those categories identifying as trans as they are treating it more as a weird counter cultural fashion movement and getting caught up in the medical side of it.

        It's a bit more complicated than that. Gender disphoria is one thing, but a lot of "gay shit" got swept into that category that doesn't have to do with disphoria per say. The whole idea of it really went off the rails far beyond the "gender dysphoria is a mental health disorder" clinical research due to as you say the lumping together of LGBT along with various social problems and pseudo sciences.

        We have yet to identify a cause to why people identify as gay, or trans, or anything really, it's all just psychosomatic AFAIK.

        Course that didn't stop the grifters from coming in saying you could cure gayness with electroshock therapy or whatever barbaric nonsense they came up with. Now it's hormones and chemical/surgical castration that seems the current issue.

        Course you still can't identify a cause for any of it.

        I've long held the belief that you're better off otherwise leaving people alone so long as they aren't causing issues for others. I still maintain that. There just needs to be an understanding about biological sex as something that isn't flexible, and why sex segregated spaces should indeed be maintained based on sex, not this wacky anything goes gender nonsense. That said if you've got a boy absolutely insistent on wearing a dress and thinking of himself a girl, you're not going to help the situation along by taking a hardline stance against that, I don't think you can or should try to protect the child from larger social consequences of that, but I also don't think medical intervention is necessary. I think the main thing you want to come to terms with is why the kid thinks that way, it's almost always going to be due to some kind of trauma or abuse imho, but that's not always the case 100% of the time.

        Once this became a part of the US culture war dynamic though any hope of actually helping kids work through their issues wen the way of the dinosaur. There's only going to be the extreme black and white voices getting attention now. Let me do whatever I want or I'm gonna kill myself, should be met with a response of , ok have fun with that, but it's not.
