That's weird the republican party wasn't involved because they've literally been behind 80% of all national political sex scandals in the USA since the late 80s.

The national governance structure and significant parts of the large-scale business, educational, and religious structures throughout the United States are compromised by this kind of sexual blackmail. It's bi-partisan and equal opportunity. This is what corruption means, and we live under a profoundly corrupt regime. Absolute power (the classic "unipolar moment") has corrupted absolutely. A story as old as large-scale human societies.
