Is says solar park, but shows a solar concentrator. 🤔 looks like propaganda.

It looks like those were just mirrors that were destroyed. No toxic waste.

Good point. I failed to notice that.

There was a solar farm damaged by hail in Nebraska.

But the photos aren't a dramatic.

Aw shucks. We goofed.

again, or is this the same one?

June 23, 2023.

The mean time that the fossil fuel industry shills will milk a single event where renewable energy infrastructure is damaged is 10 years, so we're only 5% of the way in to this crap from the usual suspects.

Shell vpower is amazing

I won't give an ICE vehicle the acceleration that you can get out of an electric vehicle.

There's a lot less child-slave labor in the batteries in ICE cars, though

How much child slave labor is there in a battery?

So about 10% of the world’s cobalt is coming out of these artisanal mines, but you don't have an estimate for how much of that involved child labor, nor do you know how much cobalt goes into a battery.

So when you say "There's a lot less child-slave labor in the batteries in ICE cars" you've got no basis to what this "a lot" is.

If 10% of your birthday cake might be made of dog feces, would you enthusiastically eat it?

That's what I'm wondering. The last one happened a year or two ago and seems more like poor planning, cutting corners, and likely half-way an insurance scam. They were in hail-alley without the extra protection and never tipped them down.

It certainly looks like the solar farm's hail stow program failed. It it didn't, it looks like the algorithm needs to be tweaked. Nevertheless some of the claims you are making are obvious bullshit.

1) A single hailstorm reduced a multimillion dollar solar park, consisting of 14,000 solar panels, into a pile of toxic debris within minutes.

This is obvious bullshit. Only the solar modules were damaged.

2) once again showcasing the costly and ludicrous nature of Net Zero.

This is obviously bullshit.

Fossil fuel sites also suffered from this same storm: https://www.wsaz.com/2023/06/24/wyoming-tornado-injures-8-people-flips-buses-train-cars-mine-site-report-says/

This only shows that hail defences need to be improved.

u/chop_chop is there any good solution for this kind of problems?

Way beyond me, sorry.

Should build solar panels thru every desert, more sun and less precipitation.

There is no way for 8 bn human beings to live a 20th century American lifestyle with Earth's resources but y'all ain't ready for that conversation.

Actually we could live better, the rich are artificially lowering living standards

They don't want to wait in line with us to get in yachts and planes
