Procedures were put in place for a reason. Follow them.

Don't be that guy that thinks he knows better than the procedures, and so he skip steps. This is the reason most catastrophes happen. If you think a certain step is pointless, this does not mean you simply skip it. It means you are too stupid to understand which is more reason for you to follow the fucking procedures.

Don't be a lazy ass, don't be a smartass, follow the procedures.
