If you were truly humble, and judged your ability to be worth nothing, then you would believe that your objective judgment does not matter relative to that of others, and the most logical thing to do in all circumstances would be simply to follow the majority.
So if you disagree with the majority, does this make you egotistical?

"Egotistical" mean too much ego, not no ego. If your aim is no ego, then you are Buddhist. In this case you would recognize that other people's opinions are also a product of their egos, so it is best to have no opinions and just live in the moment.
