I personally hate the concept of tipping. I don't want to be judge of employee performance, I just want to get my food. So I tip almost the same fixed percentage at almost every restaurant. Problem solved.

But then they started doing this stupid Ipad thing at fast food places, where it asks you for tip. Employees have been getting aggressive about these, and now they often verbally tell you "it's going to ask you about tip and receipt", so that it sticks in your mind. I always select "no tip" for these. I will never tip at one of these! And if you tip at these then you are a piece of shit for contributing to the expansion of tipping culture. The other day I saw someone tip with one of these at a coffeeshop and I was infuriated.
