In fact, they are probably more loyal to the system than other Americans are. They would never secede from the union today. The only reason Southerners are against the COVID vaccine is because they are Christians and they don't like the aborted fetal cells thing. But they would not object to being forced to taking a vaccine as long as it was not developed with aborted fetal cells.

The northeast has its problems, and it is overall worse than the South, but at least in the northeast there seemed to be some people who were completely irreverent towards the government. People in positions of authority/bureaucracy would illegitimately sell documents under the table, making a complete mockery of the government. Businesses would take cash only payments, so that they could cheat their taxes. Illegal apartments were common, and they were below market value, because landlords did not want to deal with the paperwork and taxes of doing things legitimately. No one drove at a speed anywhere remotely close to the legal speed limit, and they would aggressively honk at you if you did since you would back up traffic. The system's rules were so oppressive that the only way a person or business could survive is by breaking them. This aspect of the northeast is great. The true rebels are in the northeast.
