I agree, our "leader" is absent not to mention the second-in-charge. Why did whoever really is in charge inflict him on us? I think they wanted to make us feel that gnawing emptiness of America today but more than usual: rudderless, no direction and winter coming on. Let's go Brandon.

But it's not only the US—after being hoodwinked for two years I expect there is little joy out there anywhere. Is this the lull before the storm?

Great demotivational point.

The worse it gets, the more charged up I get.

Yeah, I'm in a demotivational state of mind all right but that's not to say sad.

Seeing your posts brings me joy so fuck the demoralizing world. Take breaks and all that shit, but you are a source of happiness and your existence is valuable to me, an internet weirdo.

Well, I thank you for that. I haven't even had my morning coffee yet and you made me feel especially fine. A compliment is great to wake up to. I may add on to this when the caffeine kicks in.

Do so. And ping me please.

I can’t see a homie feeling meh without letting them know they’re both appreciated and necessary. The only weapon against demoralization is joy.

Again, thanks for the encouragement. Surely I seemed sad but I was just having a moment of clarity. You're on my radar now friend so I'll be seeing you.

And don't call me Shirley.

There are plenty of people with hope and joy alive in their lives.

[–]hennaojichan 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

And I'm one of them generally. When I wrote those messages I was not feeling down, just contemplative. But thanks for caring.

We don't have to agree on everything, just that there is hope.

Same as it ever was. All the presidents are just figureheads of the corporatocracy. They're all terrible and terribly daft, but this one's puppet strings are just more obvious in 4K resolution.

[–]StillLessons[S] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I agree. These obvious puppet strings do make some level of difference, though. The corporatocracy no longer feels the need even to pretend there is a functional government beyond their dictates. By highlighting this obvious fulcrum point and the absence of representation that they have given up even trying to hide, even some of the people engaged within the belly of the beast itself might begin to be a little uncomfortable with the role they are playing in this shitshow.

> The corporatocracy no longer feels the need even to pretend

The most ridiculous thing is people continuing to shill and twist themselves into insanity pretzels to "logically" justify the boot on their face. Either they're stupid, in denial and deeply invested, or shilling for a soft life of obedience and servitude, shilling just to survive, or anything in between.

Biden is obvioualy a puppet and the focus should be instead on the most important cabinet positions and the major billionaire funders of the Biden campaign

Joe Biden single-handedly united America behind Brandon. And Biden ended a war. Let's give credit where credit is due.

Biden is the liberal's answer to Reagan.

Not yet (me thinks). If only the Dems didn't have traitors in their midst, important bills would pass that might earn praise or criticism, but much of the time, these 2 Dem traitors, and the entire GOP are essentially not legislating anything other than their insider trading options. The bastards. Previous presidents had the benefit of legislators who were legislating, even when they were screwing over the 99% (eg. Reagan/GOP use of my Social Security money to pay back loan, while confirming that the 99% will get much reduced Social Security checks in the future. Should have marched on the Capitol Building at that time.)

I mean as senile figureheads controlled by others. George W was a puppet president too.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They are all traitors, they run out honest representatives with ease.

you are very well written.

Telling the press he isn't allowed should engender huge response. Why isn't Rand Paul shoving the 25th Amendment into both of Maxine Waters' eye sockets?

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's like any celebrity, they exist as a meme in the eyes of 99% of people. Not as a real person.

And it's been known a while that the deep state (the corporate/lobbying/regulatory capture groups) basically runs things and the president is just a PR figure. That's been increasingly true for decades. Biden just makes it almost impossible to deny, it's like "Weekend at Bernies".

They just manage him and then give him the right pills before any press conferences so he's as lucid as possible. 90% of a president's job is PR meetings as a figurehead, not doing legislation or understanding the issues. I think that should be obvious to everyone at this point in history, the last 4 presidents or so made that pretty clear.

The only way you can possibly think that Biden isn’t, at the very least, in the midst of severe cognitive decline is if you’ve never watched it happen to a family member.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

So much GOP (and some Dem) corruption in government right now, and the right-wing propaganda wants to focus on how well one person can read a prompt, or on 5 points in the polls. It's pathetic. There is so much more at stake, and the president is merely doing what other presidents have done. He's part of a network. We should focus on the network, not the stuff that would preoccupy a 10-year-old regarding a father figure.

He was done gone before the primaries. Everyone knew he was half brain-dead, yet they still voted for him...
