There are generics available but I'll bet there is some obscure rule that says they have to buy the name brand drug.

I use to read the FedBizOpps.gov website, and I remember seeing an Army requisition for some kind of theater. They specified Monster cables by name.

My limited dealings with the military, and NASA for that matter, have all been profoundly depressing. I'm left-of-center on economic issues, but it really is 100% true that anything the government does will be very inefficient.

Oh, and if you're American... the people responsible for defending you essentially believe in magic. You pretty much have to, to buy a Monster cable. Remember that the next time someone talks to you about "common sense gun control." You might reasonably rename "common sense gun control" to be "guns for people who believe in magic ONLY."

Probably used as a treatment for altitude sickness. Saw it on the Grand Tour when they were in in Bolivia.
