I don't think it's accepted to call any of those countries "communist" - communism was the goal, and they were usually described as "socialist". Slovenia was a part of Yugoslavia btw ("Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia"):

I don't know much about where Melania and her family is from, but I know it's not America. The article said that Melania Trump's father was:

a member of the Sevnica Communist Party

in what was then-Communist Yugoslavia.

Whether Communist or Socialist, either way, the clenched fist has been used as a sign of their ideology for a long time.

It is difficult to discern the difference. I was reading about socialism and thought it sounded like the United States. The basic idea is the government owns and controls more and more of the nation's activities.... Government-run schools (also called public school), Obamacare (nationalized medical care), public transit, monthly welfare payments for food (Snap), disability (SSI), and social security, CDC paying farmers to follow their rules (like killing all their birds when they say they have a positive case of bird flu), Operation Warp Speed transferring billions of tax dollars to the pharmaceutical industry at the beginning of COVID for "free vaccines" that actually was an expensive poison, etc.
