free vpn is worse, imo.

When you use a vpn, ALL your traffic goes through their bottleneck. And whoever owns that bottleneck, also has your real IP. Very dangerous, imo. Literally giving some random people total access to all your traffic, with your real IP label on it

I agree on this... when something is free, you're usually the product.

The irony of where you said this will hit you in 3...2...1...

That'd be a good criticism if we were making any money, but we're actually taking a loss every month that d3rr and I pay out of pocket

It's not a criticism as much as an observation. The criticism will come when this site gains popularity and you sell your soul to some jew like putt.

Look, another criticism. I'm not as morally weak as you assume

Are there any VPNs that are actually trustworthy?

    This is the real question.

Well, I just started using the Tor browser. Have already found I don't need to engage a VPN to get around my ISPs blacklist.

Free VPNs are probably worse, the companies behind them sell your data. I'd rather have my ISP see my furry midget porn as opposed to some foreign VPN company. I use NordVPN though I reckon Mullvad is probably the best. Here's a site I reccomend to see what VPN best suits your needs. https://thatoneprivacysite.net/. It's pretty informative. If there's no chance you'd pay for one, it's probably best you'd not use one at all.

Here is a site that also tells you how to browse securely, what operating systems to use and useful sofwares. https://www.privacytools.io/

ProtonVPN is free and trustworthy because their is different tiers that people pay for.

The first thing is? Is do they log? That answered you are free to use. My fav place to read reviews is at torrent freak. A great test is doileak. Nonsense you can build the same thing with mostly open source programs. I use one that just got bought out. So I may be looking again as well good luck.
