Disease is something harmful. Double-speak at its finest here.

Oh look: pointless empty commentary, humourless, uncreative, self-important. You might as well prep an election campaign and post a sign on your lawn. We have a representative candidate!

    Thanks, I didn't know that.

I didn't either. TIL. I knew "life is sexually transmitted" is certainly a common enough phrase.

It is perhaps a fitting statement at Saidit, given Laing's incredible influence on the anti-psychiatry movement, and our concerns at Saidit about the abuses of Big Pharma.

What?! 1980? Naw, I said it first on the internet in the 90s. Everyone after is stealing my intellectual property and owe's me ten bucks, because every ten bucks is a drink at the bars now.

Source for your list? I see dates and stuff. Are those book titles? All we need is one for Laing and the Wikiquote page can be updated.

Only idiots will imagine any 'X' on me.

Only idiots would imagine that I'd write the first online article and lists about the pedophocracy and then compromise myself with or near children. Besides, most kids are snot-nosed brats only their parents could love.

Only idiots perpetuate baseless lies and name-calling on SaidIt risking banishment. There are other ways to impress me if you're doing this for attention.

Before 2016 I used to think baby-raping jokes and edgy dark shit was hilarious. The more shocking the better. Yours wasn't even one volt.

Not only have I learned much since then, with my real name I'm also facing off and resisting tyranny as best as I can, so now I have no patience for petty pedo accusations. Especially when they're wittless.

Stoned is an elastic word. Please elaborate.

            [–]hennaojichan 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

Good. I was wondering whether that was a good choice of words and you definitely hit the weakest point of my comment. Short backstory: during my formative years various drugs that made one stoned were omnipresent and I still tend to use the same vocabulary now. (I need to change my linguistic paradigm.) In the statement you ask about I was referring a state similar to one produced by a fair amount of weed but I must clarify that—some lucky people do not need any substance to achieve that still undefined state. Do I mean the state of being outside one's usual realm of thought/understanding? Yes, I think so (but some drugs probably narrow the limits of one's thinking/understanding). Also, stoned as I used it may be achieved by other means such as meditation, etc.

You have asked a damned difficult question and I find it near impossible to answer. Books and poems have been written in answer to that question You may think of me as a "druggie" but because of where I live and the present world situation, I am not able to indulge my desires and even then I would be a modest user. I could and would indulge a bit if international travel were possible.

I did a poor job of answering your excellent question.

            [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

I don't think you did a poor job. Maybe somewhat quick but definitely not poor.

When i was young i did a lot of nice weed (till i didn't hit me any more) then i switched to mushrooms and i had other short but brief interrupts of my conscious life.

Then: To "heighten" the "kick" i started combining stuff and i strongly advise against this. Because even though i am physically very robust, for the most parts are somewhat "immune" to some drugs and even knew somehow what i was doing:

This was the first time in my life i was entrapped in my own mind and you may or may not imagine how "real" some delusions may be that you can experience.

I neither wanna stretch this argument nor overstretch your time reading this.

To make a long story short and two complex minds maybe at least somewhat happier than they were before:

You as well as me don't believe 99,2 % of bs thrown at us. My way of handling this dilemma maybe differ from yours.

It seems to me like you are putting a lot more interest into actually interpreting what is or was happening and the using your excellent memory and definitions to ask even harder questions. And i accept the props you just gave me for somewhat being able to do the same. Even though this one on my end of things doesn't happen "like" it happens on your end.

I'm more like a "social" guy. So i look more into (or at least try to or do it even unconsciously [we are getting into some deep shit here...] ) what people felt and maybe motivated them to do this and that. This one is really hard to explain because per definition i am somewhat a heavy hitter on some asperger-autism-scales.

For me a synthesis e.g. could be: Maybe we both should focus our specific talents more and on the other hand give them more room to unfocus. So for you this could imply not relying on language this hard. I know that in 90 % of cases you don't accept the discussion and conclusively don't get into it because you proved your argument to yourself. Which is about as hard as it can get.

So (to explain, to exclude and finally make some discussions more sophisticated) : My end on this is:

My memory is very perforated by mentioned drugs but not only. I am forgetful by nature and i was even before i knew what drugs actually are. On the other hand: If anyone (someone) asked me what my most liked job is:

I like to put people at their best. We (realize this simple fact!) can differ on opinions, e.g. if Q or Carswell had an "idea" saving humanity by changing the gravity constant.

Way more fascinating should be changing alpha. By a bit somehow or somewhat at least. At this point i have to tell you the fact that i am neither Indian nor an Engineer. But maybe you can somewhat feel the story behind all this now: I can imagine where we could be and every fucking day i see where we are. Doesn't this make you sad?

To me it does that. But as i said. I'm an autist so why should i give a rat's ass.

But i understand: Star Trek is only fiction.

Another fact is: When they put me in a somewhat small place with nothing (i won't go further on that one) i had Pi, e and the root of 2 all to 20 digits exact with not even 12 hours gone. This is especially relevant since i know how to calculate stuff because i got a title on this. German surveyor. This one more or less implies if you don't got the method or process, I'm certified to find it.

A pencil and a paper can really build your mind, all theses PDE's, all this really interesting stuff but because you can't prove horseshit you sit there and wait on fucking Vulcan to react.

We OWN this. Just not everyone.

Our world has gotten very stochastic to say at the least.

When i am allowed to speak free and easy i hope to get buried next to excellent minds such as yours while building an ftl-engine.

Usually (you know? We still are humans) somethings gets forgotten about.

            [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Surely not your shit. And to expose a well-known secret: we don't have to smoke. It's just the way our minds are working and as you can see: clicking.

You don't need to understand everything. I mean i don't. Do you?

            [–]LarrySwinger2[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

            Yes, I'm omniscient.

I'm going to respond when the caffeine kicks in. Talking with you is stimulating but it helps if I'm "stoned" on coffee.

            [–]hennaojichan 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Stochastic is not a word I hear often but yes, it's all random. Too damn random in my opinion. Didn't we meet in a different space-time continuum? You are a surveyor but have various other qualifications that all revolve around math. Maybe I'm connecting dots that aren't even there but it's coming back to me now: Person of Interest and personality types. But didn't you disappear for a while? Your name was different I think. That's all right since everyone I know on saidit, except Jason and d3rr, is doing it.

That small room with nothing in it is one of my worst nightmares but never reality and I hope to keep it that way.

I do not know what an ftl engine is but am guessing it is a way to escape the limits of time. If so, I wish you success because I want to get out of this time and place dominated by psychopaths who want to inject us with bad chemicals, not the good ones. Did you know that Kary Mullis was an avid user of hallucinogenic amphetamines? He was also a climate change denier.

            Cheers

I dissapear and then i pop up again. Isn't that the way of all things ? (No philosophy pun indented here)

Surely i ain't a person of interest otherwise they had me locked up, now shouldn't they ? (According to the mindset you may suppose for me)

FTL means "Faster than light" and sadly this has a lot more to do with welding than i ever could imagine.

            [–]hennaojichan 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, I thought you had recommended to me a certain episode of Person of Interest (a US TV drama) but as often happens, I was wrong. Faster than Light, so it does have something to do with time. I clearly had you mixed up with someone else who was also German and a surveyor—kind of a coincidence.

            [–]hennaojichan 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, no, you are not a person of interest. It was my mistake; I thought you were a different that was on saidit before. Nothing critical intended. My bad.
