Don't you mean from the start of the formation of stars?

The first stars and galaxies are further along in life than that pile of dust.

I was trying to very briefly include that the imaging type included unique visual information, eluding to earlier stars, or as you point out, the beginning formations of them.

I grabbed that snippet particularly from here, which does seem a bit low-effort:

The scene is captured by the Webb telescope’s near-infrared camera, which affords the capacity to detect light from the first stars and galaxies.

Using the possessive form of it, not the contraction of it is. Replace It with John; John's near-infrared camera provides a unique ability to detect light from the first stars and galaxies.

There is no apostrophe in the possessive "its", just as there isn't one in "his" or "hers". The only meaning of "it's" is "it is". Get your shit together joe.

I'm always the second to admit I'm wrong! Mea culpa

I wish they'd do a time lapse on these; every new image of them shows visible movement compared to the previous one
