I can turn that off in mine, although I usually leave it on because I have forgotten food in there otherwise.

My old ones never did that. The first one I had that did I bought less than ten years ago. It died and I replaced it with a thrift store unit that also didn't do that.

It's not very common.

The deactivation of b12 from microwaves is worse than the beeping.

I assure you: You never had a real microwave oven. E.g. like one of mine (take the one in my kitchen e. g.) with an analogue clock. If you buy all this chinese bs i can't stop you, but i got four, two from aeg, two from panasonic and all of them work just fine without ever harassing me or my experiments.

I dry algae with the ones in my workshops, fyi.
