Microwave designers were the original assholes

The oldest technology I can think of that was designed by assholes is the microwave oven. When the microwave is done microwaving, it beeps in 30 second intervals indefinitely, until you walk up to the microwave and open the door. This is highly irritating, especially since letting the food cool is often part of the microwaving process. I think the pretext for making the microwave beep is so that your food doesn't get cold. But anyone with intelligence knows that a person's hunger already serves this purpose. The real reason they make the microwave beep is to frustrate us, because they are sick sadists who hate us.

I can turn that off in mine, although I usually leave it on because I have forgotten food in there otherwise.

Same, I am easily distracted at my advanced age and need beeps.

My old ones never did that. The first one I had that did I bought less than ten years ago. It died and I replaced it with a thrift store unit that also didn't do that.

The deactivation of b12 from microwaves is worse than the beeping.

I assure you: You never had a real microwave oven. E.g. like one of mine (take the one in my kitchen e. g.) with an analogue clock. If you buy all this chinese bs i can't stop you, but i got four, two from aeg, two from panasonic and all of them work just fine without ever harassing me or my experiments.

I dry algae with the ones in my workshops, fyi.
