On a similar topic. It seems strange that the computer screen is called a monitor.
Was it intended to monitor us?

I've heard bizarre stories of people's smartphones showing them ads for things they merely thought about. Like, a lot of stories, especially on the Privacy subReddit.
I've seen my friend's smart TV show him ads for things he talked about. It's creepy. Like, why? You're just watching episodes of Seinfeld, why the heck do you need it listening to you?
$#@! the "internet of things". It's a stupid phrase, anyway. Like "rabbits of squirrels". What?
