I think construction workers should be considered as heroes along with first responders and military.

Like yea sure some people in the military deserve hero status, but the people building America are so underrated. I work in heavy industrial construction and the work these people do is extraordinary and literally actually does things like provide transportation for people and goods. Without construction workers we would have nothing.

    But. Most people join the military because they don’t have other options and most people become cops after leaving the military or because they couldn’t join the military. Construction workers actually do have a vested interest in building things YOU and many people actually take granted. Many people are pretty ignorant of the construction industry. Trade workers are educated for a long time before they are established. They also sacrifice their body and their time for their jobs. Much longer than education required for military work or the police departments.
