I'm not talking about those accidental cases where you find in your family tree thats sporadic as hell, and happened like once or twice, but I'm talking about doing this shit repeatedly. Maybe it's b/c I know all of my first cousins, know of quite a bit of my second cousins, been to school with a couple of my third cousins, and know of a few of my fourth cousins, but I cannot look at it from any other angle and be like "yeah that's completely fine". The issue is when you keep on marrying and breeding cousins like that. Look at royal families and isolated communities. For a non-human example, look at unethical purebred breeders. If you wanted to preserve your bloodline or get a purebred dog, you should at least look into a fifth cousin at the least. Anything closer, and especially if repeated will not be good. But the people who say their family is messed up b/c of that one time occurrence of a first-fourth cousin marrying do need to think more critically though. If it happened once, thats once. But multiple times is not good.

I am aware those sporadic cases are usually on accident, as families were huge back then. In places where they were from were also more isolated and rural att. Therefore, that was inevitable.
