At one point they discuss the origin of the word 'fuck', so I looked it up, and it's a pretty interesting article: https://www.etymonline.com/word/fuck

I liked this part in particular:

It became so common that an effective way for the soldier to express this emotion was to omit this word. Thus if a sergeant said, 'Get your ----ing rifles!' it was understood as a matter of routine. Fuck was outlawed in print in England (by the Obscene Publications Act, 1857) and the U.S. (by the Comstock Act, 1873).

I never would've guessed it had been banned so long ago in print.
