i think what it matters the most is to listen to other people and give them space and time to tell their opinion even if what they say is absurd, and they also have to do the same. listening is better than agreeing or arguing with others. you don't have to respect the other person's opinion. that doesn't necessarily mean you can fight or insult other people. all you ahve to do is listen to them and have them listen to you if they are ok with that.
