I've been a long-time fan of Dan Bell's dead mall series on youtube, where they tour malls that are abandoned or basically closed. I've always thought it'd be a good idea to buy one of these dead malls up and turn each store in to a residence. Then today I came across this article where someone did exactly that, and did a good job of it too! I hope to see more use of dying malls as residences, because it'd help solve both the lack of affordable housing as well as make use of great buildings that aren't being used.
