Are men becoming more feminine?

I am all for individuality. If I see someone that is far from the norm of masculine and perhaps more feminine, maybe even gay - whatever. It's who they are and I'd never find a problem with it. The issue is that it's not so simple. The media seems to be pushing the narrative that not only is feminine good, but masculinity is BAD.

I mentioned this the other day to my friend. We were discussing how men are now predatory in nature. Wanting to go up to a girl and ask her out? Be careful! Toxic! Rapist!

It's akin to the Gillette ad where the hot woman is walking past, a man goes to approach and his buddy pulls him back and say "Not cool man, not cool". What ever happened to acting like a man and approaching women? Since when is this a bad thing.

As stated, the person I spoke to this about thinks that men are now more aware of their over exertions towards women and less than eloquent ways, but I just can't see it.

Yes, the guy has millions of followers and even more millions of dollars. I am not judging him from an individual standpoint, rather a cultural one. That is becoming normal. That is becoming more acceptable than being masculine.

Is it by education or culture that we are losing the traits of being a male? Is it quite literally something in the water? Hormones?

I've seen some guys give up all together and are "going their own way", as they call it. That is sort of a different topic in relation to dating and women, here I am focusing on if our male framework in society is spiraling downwards.

The guys I see today are almost pretty. From an objective standpoint most girls would find them attractive, but the features as well as vocal tones are slowly warping into prettier and higher pitched attributes. It's bizarre.

There is a deliberate campaign to make men more feminine, and women more masculine, yes. It's called queer theory, and it wants to erase ("queer") the distinction between all categories of sex, gender, sexuality etc. because they see the normal (and normativity) as fundamentally "oppressive" and rigid categorization creates this oppression; for example the existence of the "man" and "woman" categories create the oppression of women by men.

This idea comes directly from Jacques Derrida who is a heavy influence on this kind of leftist postmodernism.

It's probably linked, people were always shorter because there wasn't enough food available, nor did people eat enough protein, vitamins and other nutrients.

Not only do people eat more than ever, certain animals like cows are given synthetic growth hormone, estrogen and testosterone; to make them grow faster, bigger and have more muscle.

And some studies have shown that we ingest some of those hormones aswel when we eat meat.

I think it's a mixture of reasons, populations that eat more animal products (i.e. the Dutch and most other Europeans) are taller than groups that consume less, or no, animal products (i.e. Indians). And combine that with the fact that we're simply eating more than ever and you see a population increase in height.

iirc human height was pretty stable until the 1800s, when technological advences meant that we got more food available.

Yes, but the physiological effects are what make me believer there is more too it. If a boy is born with high testosterone, I doubt he will ever walk flamboyantly or speak in a more feminine tone. The guys I was speaking of are feminine psychically and it manifests in all parts of their behavior.

I find it's becoming to the point where I can't even tell a man from a woman. I'll see a couple walking by, and unable to tell which is the guy and which is the girl. Of course this isn't often where I live, but once in a while.

Also, I hate these guys with these high pitched voices when talking, namely on radio, but not excluding Youtube. Hurts my ears.

OP is absolutely correct. Men: stay away from soy. Keep doing anything that maintains the testosterone: competition, exercise, even meditation. I'm not going to go full-on "it's in the water supply" but there is good evidence to suggest plastics can even have unintended consequences for men. And it's not a good thing for women either. Women want clear delineations between men and women.

Also see Dr. Jordan Peterson on the effects of birth control on desirability of more feminine men based off the fertility cycle. The redpill alpha fucks beta bucks might be a real effect. After all, the pill actually tells a woman's body that she's pregnant all the time. To think there would be ABSOLUTELY not mental or sociological effects of this massive change is a fantasy. It doesn't help that everything keeps changing so rapidly, we can't wait to see what the effect of any one particular change (the pill) has on women or society.

No, no it is not. The only thing that evolved quickly was the move to GMO crops, and a swing towards poorer health, and lower nutritional intakes.

In addition, there are simply more people, and they are more judgmental than ever. At one point, men were allowed to be debonair, and that was seen as a positive trait. Similarly, one could refer to some woman as hansom. Now you can either fit into the current stereo types of gender politics, or you are not allowed to be heard.

    I kind of am interested in the theory that the greys aren't aliens, they're time travelers from the future. They have big heads and tiny bodies but are humanoid. If you predict human evolution that would happen because we don't need to be as physical and we'll have robots doing the physical labor and intelligence will be more important. You already see how humans are babies longer than other mammals because our big heads make it harder to more around and women's birth canals get stretched during pregnancy because babies have such big heads.
