This is the best possible deduction that can be made from this post. Diogenes does it once again.

Not jizz in the soda for starters.

Dr. Pepper conspiracy is definitely something I didn’t know I wanted but now that I’ve seen it I need more. Lol. Seriously though it could just be a bad batch of sodas. Where I’m from they don’t typically have name brand sodas at dollar stores. Just Shasta. Dude that tiki punch is the shit. Was the Dr. Pepper flat? Maybe the syrup was bad.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

        It wasn't flat, just gross.

It could been stored poorly, exposed to strong light or heat.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Perhaps that could have been the issue, though I don't see how that could've happened within the store. The two-liters aren't kept cold, but the building is never hot inside — and it's starting to get cold around here anyways.

Those bottles move around more than you think - especially if they’re at the dollar store, they could be surplus supply from a nearby chain supermarket that didn’t sell them all on time.

The bottles could have been taken out of the fridge and left in the sun for example, while fresh bottles were loaded into the fridge at the og supermarket. Then the bottles get moved again to another supermarket or dollar store.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know that. That's probably what happened, then.

        [–]Comatoast 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

If it was this, there's a taste similar to.. well, the best way that I can describe it if you licked the back of the fridge. The Reign energy drinks have a thermogenic type that has that distinctive taste too, like they just collected and populated a petri dish of 'back of fridge' and used it as the flavor profile. I wish I could get backup on this from someone else.

L0307DP11 = Libr0 / 307th day of year =Nov 2 / DP11 = Democratic Pedophile # of mole children harvested. So, this is a specially formulated vintage of adrenochrome intended for George Soros, Hillary Clinton etc. to celebrate Satan winning the election and the thousand year reign of shape-shifting Jewish librul reptiles from the Fourth Dimension. Any Qstns?

        1. Why are you drinking soda? It's death in a bottle.

        2. Why are you bringing this info to saidit? Nobody cares.

        3. Why am I commenting? Meh....

        [–][deleted] 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

        1. Soda usually tastes great. I should drink less, but at least it's not alcohol.

        2. Am I only allowed to post about state-approved topics? The very fact you commented this shows that you do care: that you have been offended to such a degree — by a mere drink — that you felt compelled to leave such a comment detailing your grievances.

Huh. Perhaps this is a more common issue than I thought. They even mentioned the store we got it from.

They might have fucked the ratio up on that one when mixing, or storage issues. I think they've tweaked the recipe in the last ten years, or I just became grossed out by the amount of sugar in it after a while staying on lowered carbs. It tastes different to me though, like cloyingly sweet now. Tastes changed with Little Debbies too, like there's an underlying nasty sweetness in there now that I didn't notice before.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The Libertarians lost ballot access in my state, and now my Dr. Pepper tastes weird. Peppergate confirmed!

Jokes aside, although I'm not a Libertarian, I'd sign for their ballot access — or really any third party or Independent that ain't extremist (like actual Communists).

Yeah, stop poisoning yourself with that garbage.

there was a disgusting aftertaste similar to cough syrup or old candy that was left in the box for too long

That makes me think they accidentally added too much cherry flavoring. It happens. It's rare, but Coke sometimes adds too much lime to their mix and makes it undrinkable.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Oh, maybe. Someone else said it could've been left out in the sun.

So now I have two possible scenarios, if you don't count the Jews (because it's Saidit) and someone nutting into it — which where two comments I got.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I'm pretty confident I'm right, I've been drinking sodas for nearly 4 decades. I have extensive soda experience. It's impressive how much soda is produced without any issues. Batch to batch over the years it's almost always exactly identical. But sometimes there's a goof.

If you contact the company they'd probably want to know about it and will likely send you coupons for free soda. Soda is expensive for what it is. And like others have said it's bad for you. I don't know if I agree with why, imo it's mostly because of the calories. I mostly switched to Coke Zero because of that, although the fake sugars still have an insulin response which ... is bad I guess?

Oh and they're terrible for your teeth. During the beginning of the covid lockdown I needed emergency dental work 3 different times. It was insanely expensive even with dental insurance, not to mention painful. Dental issues aren't good for your health either, the bacteria can end up in your lungs, sinuses, bloodstream, affect your heart, and kill you. The -caine agent they give you to numb you is in the cocaine family, that's not great for your heart either.

        someone nutting into it

My wife just told me she sometimes shares her lunch that I make with her coworkers. My first thought was "how do they know I didn't jizz in it?"

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I'd try to contact them about it, but I'm way too busy right now to care about a couple two-liters of Dr. Pepper, however much it ruined my morning.

Are you diabetic? Or are you just using the insulin response to back-up your argument? Was just curious because both my biological father and step-father are diabetics (1 and 2 respectively).

I'm pretty sure drinking Dr. Pepper every day has made my teeth yellow. It's not by that much — and you probably won't be able to notice — but they aren't exactly a pearly white, even though I brush my teeth quite a lot (though maybe my tooth paste is just garbage).

My first thought was "how do they know I didn't jizz in it?"

Lmao. I don't even want to know why that was your first though.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I'm not diabetic, I've just read that artificial sweeteners cause an insulin response similar to sugar and people say that like it's a bad thing. I'm not really sure why.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Oh, yeah. My dad says it's not as bad as real sugar, but still raises your blood sugar.

        [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I seriously am an avid Dr Pepper drinker (I know I shouldn’t be, but I love that ishsishsish), and I haven’t noticed any change in east coast Dr Pepper and that’s my favorite drink outside of water lol.

I get cans, the small bottles, big bottles, haven’t noticed anything. I even get the cream dr peppers too (those shits are good), and they taste the same. Part of the reason why I like Dr Pepper is because it’s so “clear” and refreshing tasting (imho). I have however noticed whenever I buy any food or drink product from somewhere like the dollar tree it tastes like shit.

Maybe you just got a bad batch? Or batch of bottles that were stored inappropriately (like high heat exposure, etc, that affected the flavor of the drink).

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm thinking it was stored out in the sun while being moved. (Someone pointed out that they move them from other stores.) I bought a pair of headphones from the same place and they where busted — never shopping there again!

I like the cream soda ones, but prefer the normal ones. I also prefer cans, but usually we just get two-liters. I drink way too much, but considering how I don't smoke, do drugs, or consume alcohol, I think I'm fine. I drink a lot more when I'm stressed or down, though, since Dr. Pepper has become my go-to upper. Again, at least it's not cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol.

        [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Have you ever tried Dr. Pepper cake? It's really good, doesn't taste like dr. pepper but the soda adds a nice flavor.
