We the admins are deleting the 88 user posts as that user is actively trying to undermine this site by doing things like upvoting spam to the front and stirring up drama.

Please don't feed the troll.

here is an idea... what if you put the entire site under a "submissions restricted" mode, except for the /s/introductions sub, and then you have to "ask" for permission to post anything..

spam would come to a screeching stop immediately.

Valid point.

i am a solutions focused person, but i cant find a solution for my own life, i think of suicide every day.. lol..

could you replace the homepage of saidit.net with a "pre-written" page that we have a custom written page?

sure you could do this... when people go to http://saidit.net , they would get a static html page that links into the current site..

this would eliminate the voting fraud issue that seems to affect the homepage.

and the homepage would be a bit more appealing and interesting..

it is my opinion that we are trying to do what reddit does... hey, guess what, fk reddit and what reddit does..

What a baby-ish attitude toward wealth. You sound like someone who has never been poor or maybe someone who has never had a real job. Economics is real. People will behave predictably according to economic laws like supply and demand because they are competing for limited resources within an evolutionary context. Evolution is real. We are not fairies and leprechauns.

We survive better cooperatively than alone as a species. So the purpose of any cultural regime is to balance the interest of the individual with the interests of the society. The only people who don’t care about the disposition of wealth in society are beggars and aristocrats because neither of those groups produce anything. They just live off others’ work.

Shiny coins, when used properly, are useful as economic information. People who do useful work are compensated highly and people who do useless work are compensated poorly, ideally. Of course when a bunch of wall street bankers or government bureacrats (or both!) conspire to distort the currency they destroy useful information that workers and consumers use to live cooperatively.

The mental retardation of communists is that allowing a small number of “private enterprise” bureaucrats to control the economic system through usury is bad but allowing a small number of public sector bureaucrats to control the economic system by the same exact means is good.

Karl comes from a long line of bureacrats. All his relations were bureacrats. Naturally he sees the solution for one set of shitty bureaucrats to be another set of shitty bureaucrats.

“Just give all the money over to these other bureacrats, these bureacrats love the people, not like the old bureaucrats, who just happen to have all the same last names as us!”

Usury is the problem. Public spending of wealth produced by other people is the problem. A lack of common culture is the problem. Everyone has to be playing by the same set of rules within a society. Thats what culture is. People who perform useful services have no reason to work if their wealth is redistributed to drug addicts, spoiled students, communist librarians in various polyamorous constellations who moonlight as antifa terrorists, foreigners who share none of their values and have shown up to simply loot a dying system.

Prosperity is built on TRUST in a system of RULES. All rules are gone. All trust is gone. All prosperity will soon be gone.

Shiny coins indeed. That shit is information. UBI destroys information. All money will simply be worthless coupons given to you by oligarchs who will give you permission to live, or not.

All rules are gone. All trust is gone. All prosperity will soon be gone.

Our species does seem prone to a rather fluctuating existence.

Its important to survive the fluctuations.

I agree with the first bit. Worrying about wealth and money is obviously not shallow. It shows how many liberals are just so out of touch with economics and how the world works. This can really only result from a wide scale divorce of economic consequences from their behaviors. People are spoiled and out of touch.

But are you proposing that christian conservatives are nihilists because they use afterlife as a carrot and stick for incentivizing behavior? I just dont think that is reasonable. Furthermore I don’t think the right wing is particularly christian anymore, do you?

You really think people are more miserable now than in Marx's time when people were regularly found starved to death on the streets?

    [–]Drewski 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

When Marx's ideas are implemented, wealth decreases (except for the few in control) and misery increases.
