Why even bother ? I get sexy pics from willing wives from Eastern Europe and Russia free via Email. Everyday. Even without registering anywhere.

You don't need twitter. A yahoo mail account achieves the same thing without the hassle.

This appears to be a true statement of all human communications.

        And nevertheless the app tries to hack your brain with a neverending stream of notifications. If you choose to not use it, the website nags you everytime to become a datamine for twitter, finally.

        These methods are old and busted now. Twitter incites the same problem as every other (behavioural) addiction:

        It isn't a problem for 98% of its users but for the rest it is so severe that the cost of these for society offsets any progress society might gain by using it. It is widely understood that app-developers in many fields fish for these"whales" intentionally with dark design patterns. Because they are the only users that actually make money for the shareholders of these companies.
