    It opened the door to the degeneracy that followed. They didn’t need marriage, marriage is a religious construct and many religions are not ok with homosexuality but they specifically wanted to force being allowed to marry. They were allowed civil unions which granted them the same rights as a married straight couple. It was the start of the forcing of acceptance for deviants and people with mental illness that we have now. Now I should note I’m not saying gays are deviants and have a mental illness but what came after them sure do.

    The door was already open. When 'gay is okay' started to gain traction, the door was already open. Everything else including "we can fuck children at school without telling their parents because it's healthy" is just another step down the totally-not-slippery slope.
