Chile is always good, for me. Over rice.

Spaghetti Bolognese. It's the easiest and most enjoyable to make, and guaranteed to end in a clean plate at the end. 🍝

Given they might be bored of just Italian, a stir fry is pretty yummy. Batch of noodles, some teriyaki sauce on a bit of chicken and mixed veg and your sorted.

Crab Salad - Rice, Canned Corn (or any soft corn), crab meat (fake crab usually used), boiled eggs, anything else you think will fit and mayonnaise! Loads of mayonnaise (You can do half of sour cream and half of mayonnaise instead).

Meat Salad - Boiled potatoes, meat( can do bologna cut into cubes or any other sausage), peas, pickles, boiled eggs, anything else you think fits and once again, mayonnaise! (Or sour cream what I said earlier)

Cheese Salad - Loads of boiled eggs, some carrots cut into thin slices, cheese, garlic (into tiny, teensy bits!), mayonnaiiiiiiiiiiise!

I made the crab one once, it was tasty and different. Watch out for mayonnaise overdose though.

Corned beef. Just boil it 3-4 hours.

  • Chicken fried steak
  • Salisbury steak
  • Swedish meatballs with gravy over rice
  • Orange chicken

Potential Sides:

  • Turnip or collard greens cooked in bacon grease (if you can still get fresh greens) if not, then just grab a cabbage or already shredded bag of Cole slaw mix and saute that in bacon grease. Add couple pieces of bacon too, if ya like.

  • Black eyed peas

  • Cornbread

  • Pork and bean salad

  • Devilled eggs or look up marinated boiled eggs

I had some italian peas a couple days ago: Organic peas, stock, olive oil, garlic and onions, sautee'd. Amazing!

Fried rice. Rice, eggs, onions, any proteins (I like shredded chicken), rice vinegar and soy sauce. Season to taste (pepper, cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, etc).

I do a baked rice dish we call Chicken Basque.

Fry sliced chorizo until the oil comes out. Add sliced onion, garlic, chilli and bell pepper then skinned chicken thighs. When browned take off the heat, stir in brown rice to soak up the oil. Then add chopped tomatoes and water to cover and stick in the oven for 1 hour.

Any thing with chorizo is basically cheating. I love that meat. This dish should great.

If you live near a Lidl grocery store in the U.S., you can get Portuguese chorizo instead of the usual Mexican chorizo.

Take advantage of the situation, put them to work making something that's communal like tamales or dol maldes.

I made a stew
I made lasagna
A barbeque
Another pasta

All of these foods
I have to master
Because we're through
It's a disaster

What will I do
Now that I disgust her?
I have no clue
I double-crossed her

Now I feel blue
Because I lost her
Don't like to cook
But I've no other

Who makes me stew
Who makes lasagna
A barbecue
Another pasta...

Homemade mac & cheese, tuna casserole, meatloaf, hotdogs and burgers, scalloped or mashed potatoes, pizza, stuffed cabbage, tacos/burritos, fried chicken, grilled cheese and tomato soup, or stromboli come to mind.

Tuna Noona Casserole. Cream of Mushroom Soup, 2 cans of tuna in water, and dry Chow Mein Noodles. Heat up the soup and put the tuna in. Then put the dry Chow Mein Noodles on a plate and coat it with tuna noona. Season to taste and eat it all up. Pepper and hot sauce is good.
