I use it at times. I do hope that it becomes available for users in all social medias especially YouTube. Where one can block certain creators and/or genres from appearing on their feed. Similar to reddit's way of personalizing your feed. What you got is what you get.
But that's not the reason why one uses block.
When one gets destroyed in an argument, one can either block or just take the L or maybe seethe and cope but I find that blocking the other person is best for one's peace of mind.
I do find that it presents an integrity issue. The issue being that one is not a very good debater when all they can do after they get destroyed online is block people.
BUT it is the internet and not real life. It is a place where one can do things at their own leisure. They are by no means required to listen or keep discussing an issue that they feel that are getting owned at.
Freedom of speech does not include an audience, I reckon.
What do you guys think, though?
Is using the block function only acceptable in certain scenarios? Or when the feelings of the other party was hurt? Is blocking someone online, even if the option is available, an immature thing to do? Many questions and I hope this post gets many answers.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
